Pixel 11 Lands August 12 in New York — And Google Quietly Killed the 128GB Base
TL;DR
Google set Made by Google 2026 for August 12 in New York; leaked EU pricing shows a €100 hike across the Pixel 11 lineup and no 128GB base.
Google mailed Made by Google 2026 invites on Monday, locking the Pixel 11 lineup to August 12 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET, back in New York City for a second straight year. Gold metal frame in the teaser art, four phones on the docket: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, plus the Pixel Watch 5.
Hours later, French deal site Dealabs published the full European price sheet. The base Pixel 11 moves from €899 to €999. The Pro starts at €1,199, the Pro XL at €1,399, the Pro Fold at €1,999 — every SKU up €100 (about $108) versus the Pixel 10 generation. Retail availability is August 20, with pre-orders opening on announcement day.
That €100 isn't pure inflation. Google dropped 128GB from the lineup entirely, so the entry tier is now 256GB. On paper, per-gigabyte pricing is flat; the floor just moved up one rung. There is no cheaper option.
The silicon is Tensor G6, codenamed Malibu, fabbed on TSMC's 2nm N2 node, paired with a PowerVR CXTP-48-1536 GPU, a MediaTek M90 5G modem, and a new Santafe TPU for on-device Gemini. In the invite writeup 9to5Google said the biggest question hanging over the event is "the impact of rising component costs on specifications and the price."
Google has held the base Pixel at $649–$799 since the original in 2016; the Pixel 10 sat at $799 last year. If the €100 delta lands proportionally in the US, the base Pixel 11 clears $899 — one rung above the iPhone 17 entry price. Raising the floor once is a bill of materials story. Raising it twice is a repositioning.
