It is the biggest single fine issued under the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA), overtaking the 120 million euros levied on X in December and the 200 million euros on Temu in May.
The Commission's citations include counterfeit goods, unsafe toys and cosmetics posing health risks flowing through AliExpress at scale without effective vendor enforcement. Executive Vice President for tech Henna Virkkunen said the products on AliExpress "do not meet EU environmental and safety standards."
